Celebrity dessert stylist Alexis Streets, serves as the founder of Basket Treats by Alexis Streets, The Dessert Junkie and Bougie Balloons. While being a stay at home mom, Alexis originally launched Basket Treats in 2009 as a customized gourmet basket service. Always having a love for both baking and interior design, Alexis decided to combine them both and expand Basket Treats into the realm of dessert table artistry. Since its expansion Basket Treats has become known for its signature over the top dessert displays. As a self-taught baker and artist, Alexis creates all of her recipes and usually designs on the spot.
Deciding to strengthen her presence in the events industry, Alexis rebranded Basket Treats as a full-service event provider. Services added include Catering, Chef Services, Photography, Videography, Bartending, Event Planning, and Wait Staffing. With the addition of these services, Basket Treats has continued to thrive.
With a desire to expand, in 2017, Alexis decided to launch The Dessert Junkie, a mobile dessert truck designed to service patrons outside of the general vicinity of her brick and mortar bakery.
With such wonderful feedback from customers, The physical location of The Dessert Junkie Bakery was established in the spring of 2021. Located in the heart of Bowie, MD. The Dessert Junkie Bakery provides you with all services and products that includes… catering, balloon Décor, event planning, wedding cakes, pastries, homemade ice cream, gourmet cupcakes and a catalog of novelty items and so much more.
Ever the entrepreneur, in 2018 Alexis launched a new venture, Bougie Balloons to tap into the newly emerging trend of dramatic balloon displays. Bougie Balloons has taken off since its launch with clients like Microsoft, and Ulta Beauty as well as participation in New York Fashion Week.
Always in creative mode, today you can find Alexis creating new recipes, thinking of the next venture, or directing staff at the latest event. Ten years later with 3 businesses, an expansive celebrity client list and multiple broadcast/publication appearances Alexis has proven herself to be a powerhouse in the world of desserts, table artistry, and event planning.
Marshmellow Events Established in 2018. Catering to the couture designs of children’s bedroom and events.
Primos Choice, Inc Established in 2020. Primo Choice is a premier doggy desserts and novelty line.
The Cupcake Foundation 501c3 pending Established in 2021. Our mission at The Cupcake Foundation is to brighten the smiles and hearts of children that are hospitalized. Our hope is to allow the parents and children to celebrate birthday’s, milestones, or just a day to bring them cheer. The Cupcake Foundation partners with the children’s hospital and other neighboring non-profit organizations. Coming Fall 2021.
Simply Reign Established in 2021. Our mission at Simply Reign is to Celebrate All Women entrepreneurs! Our goal is to highlight all women in business celebrating their journey and success.

Shavon Brown is a trailblazer in the fields of Catering & Events Management with a proven ability of achieving results while delivering outstanding customer service.
In the Catering and Events Management arena, Shavon has served as Co-owner of Just Savvy Events a Maryland based company that offered a variety of catering & event planning/design services to the public. She currently serves as, Event Designer and Head Pastry Chef of Basket Treats.
